- Hip Dysplasia

OFA Evaluation ➚ - Eye Examination by a boarded ACVO Ophthalmologist (note minimum age of 24 months as requested by ARC effective 8/1/16)
Results registered with OFA ➚ - Cardiac Evaluation (note minimum age of 24 months as requested by ARC effective 8/1/16) (One of the following)
Congenital Cardiac Exam ➚
Advanced Cardiac Exam ➚
The AKC also notes that cancer sometimes occurs in the Rottweiler. "David Waters, Ph.D., DVM, of the Gerald P. Murphy Cancer Foundation, has done research focused on cancer prevention funded by the Rottweiler Health Foundation. Dr. Waters has discovered that cancer and longevity are linked to a careful vaccination regimen, thus strengthening the immune system, as well as keeping males and females intact until at least six years of age." --AKC website (under the "Health" tab).
